The logical name of a kafka cluster, that can be used to retrieve the cluster configuration in the platform configuration. e.g. 'front', 'local', 'back', ...

The topic name as appears when listing the topics using standard kafka command tools

partitions

public Integer partitions

The number of partitions in the topic. This may be used either for creating the topic with the appropriate required number of partitions, or to monitor that the actual partitions count is the same as assumed by the channel

replication_factor

public Integer replication_factor

The total number of replica expected for this topic. A number of 1 means no resilience to failure. This may be used either for creating the topic with the appropriate required replication factor, or to monitor that the actual replication_factor is the same as assumed by the channel

validate

public KafkaTopicPojo validate()

The validate method is in charge of checking for mandatory properties, and possibly computing defaults value. It is not a generic method, each subclass can implement its own validate method with its parameters.

However make sure at the end you always invoke super.validate()
