Troubleshooting Dangling Meta Character

Symptom

When you start a configured channel, you can have the following issue:

Cause

Your environment variables are not set to the good language

Resolution

On linux try the following command

dpkg-reconfigure locales

choose `en_US.UTF-8.

Then type the env command and check that every variable is set, including LC_ALL

Set the LC_ALL variable into the /etc/environment file

LC_ALL=en_US.UTF-8

Once done; restart again the channel.
